Dior invites women to explore the glamorous Rouge Dior this September, to celebrate 70 years since the creation of Dior’s legendary lipstick.
In 1947, Christian Dior revolutionised women’s fashion and their wardrobes with the “new look” silhouette; on the eve of 1950, his desire to dress women and their smiles compelled him to create his first lipstick in limited edition; in 1953, Rouge Dior was born.
In fall 2020, rediscover Rouge Dior’s collection of more than 1,500 shades. The iconic 999 will, naturally, lead the collection as the signature red, representing Dior couture heritage and colour history.
Rouge Dior’s formula offers hours of comfort, and its matte or satin texture is highly pigmented with a hydrated finish. Expect continued colour and creativity refreshes for the Rouge Dior icon by Dior Makeup’s Creative and Image Director, Peter Philips. Hear it from millions of women all over the world, or feel the rouge icon for yourself.
The colour red has always been Dior’s heart and soul. Red is positive, impressive, energetic and charming. Red brings out women’s true selves and their gracefulness. Red dresses represent femininity. Red lipstick is perfect as the final touch for any look.
For Christian Dior, red is the colour of life.
