The multi award-winner Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, originally concocted for burns – the La Mer Crème de la Mer, La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream (often said to be like cosmetic surgery in a pot), and last but not least, the popular anti-ageing Lancôme Advanced Génifique which is famed for producing visibly youthful skin in 7 days.
Speaking of the Advanced Génifique range, fans will have you know that it is the ultimate anti ageing potion that uses pre and probiotics to deal with bacteria and other aggressors that cause skin damage as well as strengthen skin’s biome and thus firm up texture for that youthful plump look to the skin after a week of religious use.
Which leads us to the French skincare’s much anticipated debut of the Clarifique Dual Essence. Where its sister succeeds with its microbiome approach to the balancing of skin, the new range is fully dedicated to translucent and bright skin with the science of enzymes.

These biological accelerators participate in various skin reactions to optimise and regulate certain functions involved in skin clarity. Enzymes involved in melanin synthesis help to inhibit pigmentation and improve tone.
These epidermal enzymes also assist in regeneration by interacting with filaggrin (a protein) to produce more natural moisturising factors (NMF) that plump up and fortify the epidermal cells. Enzymes also ensure the efficient elimination of dead cells charged with melanin, which in more general terms refer to the peeling of dead skin. Lancôme has long recognised the important link between enzymes and skin quality, thus spending 30 years studying epidermal enzymes.
The outcome? 13 patents, 113 internationally published papers and this new Clarifique range.
Pushing out a first ever bi-phase formula, Clarifique Dual Essence is a fusion of 2 essences combined in a ratio that optimises delivery with comfort. In simple words, when shaken with the whisk built into the bottle, the careful mix of the oily and watery essences allows for easy application without the uncomfortable oily finish.
Containing just 2 key ingredients: 97 per cent clear essence of organic French beech bud extract with its peeling and enzymatic activity to refine and brighten skin, and 3 per cent grape-seed oil rich in omega-6 fatty acid to moisturise and create a strong skin barrier.
Made in France, developed specifically for Asian skin, users of this new Clarifique Refining Enzymatic Dual Essence (twice a day after cleansing and before applying their Advanced Génifique serum) can expect refined and brighter skin in 4 weeks.
