More than half a century ago, when Lancôme Absolue was first launched, the skincare line vowed to reveal skin’s “golden glow”. Fast forward to 2018, the French beauty powerhouse’s most luxurious range saw a complete revamp, yet remains true to its original promise.
“By completely reinventing Absolue, we took on a dual challenge: continuing to shape Absolue as a devoutly modern range that resonates with its times, without sacrificing any of the heritage. The key to achieving that was clear to us, by going back to the very quintessence of the skincare, the texture,” said Françoise Lehmann, President of Lancôme International.
Indeed, the texture of the new Absolue soft cream is something that defies simple definition. In a stroke of clever marketing, the brand has coined the phrase “TTT” or Thick-Thin-Thick to describe its transformative formula. At first touch, the Absolue Soft Cream is luxuriously thick, velvety and comforting. As your fingers gently smooth the cream over your face, it liquefies and infuses skin with its active ingredients, feeling wondrously lightweight and thin. Just moments later, its skin-plumping effects can be seen and felt as the formula becomes thick again.
Completing the multisensorial experience of the Absolue Soft Cream is the unmistakably sweet and uplifting scent of fresh roses that lingers even after application. The reason: In every product of the new Absolue line is a complex of active ingredients extracted from a trio of “Grand Roses”: the Lancôme rose, the Centifolia Rose and the Rosa Damascena, also known as the Damask rose. Together, these Grand Rose Extracts give the Absolue skincare line its gorgeous bouquet – and its remarkable revitalising, reparative and anti-inflammatory capabilities.
The Soft Cream is certainly the Absolue range’s star product, but the other newbies are also worthy of mention. Most recently, in January 2019, Lancôme celebrated the launch of the Absolue Eye Cream, Gel Cleanser, and Eye Serum, which complete the Absolue line.
Specially formulated for the delicate skin around your peepers, the Eye Cream and Eye Serum promise to reduce visible signs of fatigue and ageing, like fine lines and puffiness.
Best of all, they carry the light signature rose scent but contain no added fragrance which can irritate sensitive skin.
