A century later, this legend of a fragrance is still a trendsetter.
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel redefined perfumes with the launch of the N°5 – a uniquely complex blend of florals and aldehyde. Housed in a pared down glass bottle defined by strong, clean lines and marked by a single numeral, the N°5 was a resounding success. A hundred years later, this trendsetting fragrance of its era is a legend, a celebrity in itself.
Embrace this icon with a collection of exclusive, limited-edition creations timed for the holidays.
Limited Editions
True to its trendsetting character, the N°5 will be the first perfume to incorporate a special recycled glass developed with Pochet du Courval, a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant). Obtained using an innovative recycling technology, it retains purity, shine and transparency akin to crystal. This direction towards a more circular production process is also present in the N°5’s redesigned box made from biodegradable paper pulp.
This exclusive reinterpretation of the iconic bottle will receive a touch of subtle luxe with Mademoiselle Chanel’s lucky number 5 inscribed in gold on the label. The N°5 L’EAU’s label will be adorned with a silver number 5.
Available on the Chanel Fragrance and Beauty E-Shop, sg-eshop.chanel.com and boutiques from 16 October, at Chanel Fragrance and Beauty counters from 22 October.
The Calendar
Look forward to the year-end holidays with this limited-edition holiday calendar in the shape of a huge N°5 bottle. Break convention by starting the countdown from the lucky number 5 with the 27 boxes numbered from 5 to 31 within. 5 for the perfume, 31 for the mythical address.
The boxes contain some of Chanel’s most iconic products that have been given the N°5 treatment. Expect a limited-edition Rouge Allure lipstick inspired by N°5, Le Vernis in a new shade of red, and a bottle of N°5 Eau de Parfum, along with a bracelet bearing the number 5, a one-of-a-kind snow globe, and other accessories designed around the fragrance.
Available exclusively at Chanel Fragrance and Beauty boutiques from 16 October.
Grand Extrait Baccarat 2021ml
If the calendar is not statement enough, own the largest bottle of N°5 produced by the House to date. Containing 2021ml of fragrance, it marks the year momentous year that N°5 turns 100. The sum of its four digits also equals 5. Limited to 55 pieces and hand-numbered, the supersized parfum unites Chanel’s creativity and Baccarat’s craftsmanship.
Cut like a diamond using a unique technique, the Baccarat crystal bottle adorned with a white label and crowned with a faceted cabochon, enhances the gold liquid within, while the Baccarat crystal wand ensures precise application. Each exquisite piece is then housed in a white dipped lambskin coffret whose design echoes the original packaging.
Holiday Makeup Collection 2021
The N°5’s style codes define the Holiday 2021 makeup collection. Now, wearing N°5 goes beyond the realm of fragrance to encompass warm, luminous makeup, complete with an intense red lip.
The Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette is reinterpreted with the N°5 aesthetic, expressed as a satiny amber shade or as a pearly ivory white that recalls N°5 L’eau. The N°5 motifs are also featured on each shade that can be worn alone or in a blended look. For the first time, two exclusive shades of Ombre Première Laque Glitter, the long-lasting liquid eyeshadow, will take on a glittery finish.
The emblematic Chanel Rouge Allure will be housed in exclusive packaging embossed with a golden number 5 and available in five shades, including two new releases: Emblématique and Légendaire.
Achieve the holiday glow with the new Or Ivoire shade of the Highlighting Fluid or the Baume Essentiel in a new Or Beige shade. Light-reflecting pigments in the long-lasting, lightweight Fluide Enlumineur further enhance the complexion.
Finally, Le Vernis in Rouge Intemporel, an exclusive deep red shade that imparts instant glam to nails, completes this special Holiday 2021 makeup collection.
Available at Chanel Fragrance and Beauty boutiques from 16 October and counters from 22 October.
