The Italian luxury house’s new bag silhouette is a larger-than-life Prada symbol.
Prada’s triangle logo is an iconic presence. The geometric shape has made this presence felt in recent collections, not just with the Prada name embellished but also in a pared down minimalist form with a bare triangle. This time round, the triangle logo comes alive in 3D with the introduction of the Prada Triangle bag. The original reworking of the Prada logo is created with a sophisticated high-frequency embossing process, making this new design an instantly recognisable icon.
Appearing for the first time on the Spring-Summer 2022 catwalk for Prada Menswear, the Prada Triangle is at once memorable with its clean lines and iconic shape. The versatility of the minimalistic style makes for effortless wear and it’s easy to understand the universal appeal of the design.
The star of the women’s collection is the smooth leather Prada Triangle shoulder bag with a removable zippered pouch and a detachable, adjustable logo-print woven tape shoulder strap. Stand out in sunny yellow and mango green, or channel a sleek, minimalist vibe with black and white. The tonal embossed logo and the enamelled metal triangle logo on the back add to the bag’s character. A pouch version that comes with a matching wrist strap is also available in full leather in the same colourways of black, white, yellow and green.
From the men’s collection is the saffiano leather version in classic black and white, vivid hues of a deep green and blue, or striking yellow with tone-on-tone details, an detachable and adjustable shoulder strap in embroidered webbing and leather, and Re-Nylon lining – an innovative fabric made of regenerated nylon yarn. For a more spacious carryall, there is a canvas version with an adjustable shoulder strap available in bright orange, cobalt blue and fern green, and the unmistakable black. The monochrome, one-material effect makes a strong statement that highlights the bag’s unique shape.
