The collaboration is one of timeless design with a future consciousness.
The continued conversation on fashion and sustainability is an important one that’s not going to go away. With a similar pursuit and shared commitments to crucial sustainability goals, adidas and Prada’s ongoing collaborative partnership sees more innovation and new classics emerge.
In the latest chapter, we see the luxury Maison’s expert craftsmanship come together beautifully with the sportswear giant’s lineage of sportswear innovation as they celebrate two timeless icons: the adidas Originals Forum and Prada’s Re-Nylon fabric. A first in this partnership, the adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection reimagines luxury sportswear through a more sustainable lens in a new collection comprising ready-to-wear including jackets, trackpants and sweatshirts in black and white, along with accessories such as bucket hats, and bags ranging in sizes and style from backpacks to waist pouches and duffle bags. Also highly anticipated are the elevated renditions of the adidas Forum High and Low silhouettes with a touch of Prada.
Each piece in this collection is made in Italy by Prada, featuring the brand’s signature, infinitely recyclable Re-Nylon fabric. This revolutionary textile, first launched in 2019, is created with textile fibre waste and recycled plastic waste gathered from the oceans. The material can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss in terms of quality. Woven into the fibre of its signature fabric, Prada Re-Nylon reflects the brand’s environmentally-conscious ideology and commitment to sustainable practices. With the launch of this landmark collection, the luxury brand also celebrates the shift of the entire Prada production from virgin nylon to Re-Nylon, achieved by the end of 2021.
True to the innovative spirit demonstrated in their collaborative partnership, adidas and Prada will launch the collection with a unique digital activation to bring the brands and their fans together in a radically inclusive manner. Also collaborative by nature, fans of the collection will be invited to participate in the metaverse with adidas and Prada through open-source co-creation.
