Puma x Minecraft: Game On

Puma leaps into the gaming world with a streetwear collection featuring popular game Minecraft.

Even if you are not a gamer, you would probably have heard about the game Minecraft that has rocked the gaming world for more than 10 years now with its infinite terrain that offers endless possibilities for players to exercise their creativity. This month, in collaboration with Puma, the game’s characteristic style will appear in a collectible streetwear collection featuring apparel and footwear that sports designs that reference popular Minecraft mobs.

Minecraft adventurers and explorers of all ages will be enthralled by the tees, hoodies, pants, and Puma’s most iconic shoe – the Suede – in this iconic collection. Puma’s timeless shoe style, the Suede, features a pixelated green, blue, and brown suede upper inspired by the plains – one of Minecraft’s most characteristic biomes, a double formstrip with printed graphics, co-branded tongue label, and additional branding on the heel. Kids can look forward to the RS-Z on top of the PUMA Suede in terms of footwear. As for the apparel line, a sleek colour palette of white, grey, and black acts as a backdrop to colourful logos and characters. A standout design is the Minecraft ocelot, posed to replicate Puma’s original jumping cat.

Talk of the metaverse has been hot around town, and this collaboration is not letting the Minecraft fans down. In celebration of the launch of this drop, from 8 February, players can download a Puma DLC (downloadable content package) from the Minecraft marketplace on the Minecraft Bedrock Edition that opens access to a virtual PUMA store. Here, they can change their Minecraft character’s skins, join three different races to clinch exclusive trophies, and discover other thrilling surprises along the way.

Previews of this collaboration have been teased since February, and fans of both the game and the sportswear brand have been waiting with abated breath for details of the release. The Puma x Minecraft gaming ready collection will be available starting March 19 at Puma.com, Bugis, MBS, United Square, VivoCity, ION, Jewel Changi Airport and TANGS Singapore, retailing for $49 – $179 SGD.
