The delectable Louis Vuitton Twist bag gets a classy new update with hand-tooled touches for Winter 2022.
First introduced in the Cruise 2015 collection, Louis Vuitton’s Twist bag has quickly become one of its most recognisable bags of recent times. The unmistakable graphic interlocking L and V logo initials take centrestage against a striking background of glossy-grained Epi leather in saturated hues.
Directly inspired by the 1988 Pochette Trapèze, the geometric shape of the bag is clean and architectural, and serves as the perfect canvas for countless creative reinventions.
For Winter 2022, Louis Vuitton puts a fresh spin on the Twist with several new animations, shown off with grace and impeccable composure by Eve Jobs, model and equestrienne par excellence (and also daughter of the late Steve Jobs).
The original LV Twist lock, a jewel-like feature that enhances the bag’s classic design, is reinterpreted in a new “Gourmette” lock in four variations: colourful strass, enamel, an engraved Monogram, and engraved metal that echoes the signature Epi leather.
The colours this season are less pop, more country luxe. Pink strass and black enamel accent the chic black design; silver strass and pale blue enamel add a sleek fashion-forward touch to the Twist in pale quartz; and blue strass with white enamel emphasise the freshness of the blue Toledo bag.
