Cartier: Black is back

by Pressroom

The Maison plays with texture and detail in two new additions to the iconic C de Cartier bag collection.

Cartier’s unmistakable double C logo was freed from the oval frame when the Maison launched its new C de Cartier bags in 2021. Since then, the C de Cartier bag’s clean lines and emblematic jewelled clasp has become a true classic of the Maison.

This season, the Maison’s initials are interpreted in embroidery on two new bags under the C de Cartier bag collection. Stylised and infinitely repeated, the signature logo is intricately embroidered on the wide fabric strap of a new East-West shape, and on the body of a smaller bag that comes with a chain strap.

A roomier option, the new East-West bag is crafted in textured leather, and accompanied by a monogram-embroidered shoulder strap. Worn as a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag, this tone-on-tone style is a chic and fashionable statement that contrasts the precious gilded metal clasp against the bold embroidered shoulder strap to perfection.

The smaller chain bag embodies the new embroidered monogram entirely. Lightweight and compact, its striking good looks are versatile enough to carry any look from day to night. The chain strap with faceted links and a gold-tone metal clasp adds a touch of shine and glamour to the style.
