Harmoniously beautiful and faithfully yours.
At the creative helm of Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri has blended feminism and femininity perfectly in her collections. Her latest bag – the Dior Bobby – is no exception.
There is harmony in the shape of the Bobby. The sleek lines are balanced with feminine curves, creating a perfect poise in terms of proportion. I admire the dedication in the precise cuts, stitches, and hand finishing, the discreet “30 Montaigne” embossed signature peeking from the back pocket, and intuitive magnetic closure that secures easily with the release of the flap.
Apart from the appreciation of fine craftsmanship and design, I value the backstory to my bags. And in the case of the beautifully designed Bobby bag, it is named after Monsieur Christian Dior’s loyal canine, whose name was also given to several haute couture designs that have since become iconic.
Featured here in blue Dior Oblique jacquard canvas, the hobo saddle bag in medium size is lightweight and roomy, retailing for SGD 5,200. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable with a military-inspired buckle and interchangeable with compatible embroidered straps that can be purchased separately. The Bobby is also available in a small or large size, and in refined box calfskin leather in 3 colours – black, camel and latte.
