The new timepieces from Van Cleef & Arpels encapsulate the Maison’s love of nature and dedication to centuries-old techniques
Van Cleef & Arpels, the esteemed French luxury jeweller, reaffirmed its commitment to traditional craftsmanship at Watches and Wonders 2024 with the unveiling of the latest timepieces in its Poetic Complications collection.
Lady Jour Nuit & Lady Arpels Jour Nuit
The Lady Jour Nuit and Lady Arpels Jour Nuit watches pay homage to the celestial ballet of the sun, moon and stars through a combination of technical mastery and artistic finesse. Sized at 33mm and 38mm, they feature a 24-hour rotating disc that gradually transforms the decor on the dial from day to night as the time passes. The diamond-paved moon and stars perpetually pursue the sun, embellished with snow-set yellow sapphires, or alternatively guilloché yellow gold. The aventurine glass dial, painstakingly crafted in Murano, provides a stunning backdrop with its deep blue sparkle.
Lady Arpels Brise d’Été
Complementing these celestial timepieces is the Lady Arpels Brise d’Été watch, which celebrates the beauty of nature. This creation brings the Maison’s garden to life, with white- and yellow-gold butterflies fluttering over azure vallonné enamel corollas, enhanced by spessartite garnet pistils. The dial, a testament to miniature enamel painting, merges the foreground and background to depict a harmonious bucolic scene of nature in all its beauty.
