The airy new ‘openface’ for the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar allows you to admire the inner workings of the maison’s signature complication.
The classically-inspired Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Complete Calendar – with its stepped round case and lugs, fluted caseback and railway minute-track swept over by Dauphine-style hours and minutes hands – is an instantly recognisable signature timepiece of the Swiss luxury watchmaker.
Vacheron Constantin now introduces a highly sophisticated new style with two “openface” models which appear in a see-through sapphire dial, framed by a 41 mm case in 18K white gold or 18K 5N pink gold.
Surrounded by a slate grey opaline flange on which a central hand points to the date, the upper part of the sapphire crystal dial features a guilloché segment as well as applied gold hour-markers. The three-part dial overlooks the sapphire discs providing an aperture-type display of the days and months.
Retaining all the hallmarks of the Traditionelle calendar, the new openface models allows a rare chance to admire the mechanical power and intricate beauty of the beating heart of the timepiece – the Calibre 2460 QCL/2 with its 312 components.
