Digital solutions for analogue watches.
Blockchain technology is revolutionising the way we view and handle the security of our assets, and fight forgery. It’s safe to say, that includes our most treasured timepieces.
Vacheron Constantin might be the world’s oldest watchmaker in continuous production for more than 265 years, but it has always evolved with the times to meet client expectations. The success of the first test phase involving the vintage watches in Les Collectionneurs collection has prompted the Maison to extend the use of a blockchain-based digital passport, secured by the Arianee technology, to all Vacheron Constantin timepieces by the end of 2021.
A database system based on encryption-secured information can prevent forgery linked to paper-based authentication. This unique digital certificate of authenticity follows the watch throughout its lifespan, securing information about the ownership, value, nature and authenticity of each timepiece even as it changes owners.
We are delighted to enable Vacheron Constantin with the capacity to issue and distribute digital identities based on the blockchain technology. We hope to contribute to make the ownership of a Vacheron Constantin timepiece even more exceptional, traceable and transparent, while opening the possibility for new services and seamless traceability.

Vacheron Constantin is also launching an exclusive digital client platform. Through The Hour Club, customers can register and authenticate their timepieces throughout their lifetime, taking control over the quality, authenticity and traceability of their watch and its environment. In addition, the platform will host a universe of exclusive content, including invitations to events held by the Maison.
We are happy to foster the creation of an open innovation ecosystem around blockchain for luxury. Digital identities will transform the way one owns valuable assets, enabling owners to track the product lifecycle, share or prove ownership, and benefit from tailored services attached to each timepiece.
