Bulgari celebrates ten years of radiant femininity with its luminous Lucea collection.
At the prestigious LVMH Watch Week 2024, Bulgari mesmerised audiences with its spotlight on gold, an eternal symbol of preciousness and beauty, intricately woven into aspects of Bulgari’s new Lucea collection.
Bulgari’s Lucea, marking its 10th anniversary, embodies a timeless elegance that combines Italian design air with Swiss precision. The collection, available in cool steel or radiant rose gold, has been meticulously refined, with a focus on symmetrical curves and a reimagined bracelet design that brings lightness and movement.
The dial of the Lucea watch is a masterpiece in itself, featuring either mother-of-pearl Intarsio or malachite inlay, framed by a bezel lavishly set with diamonds. The mother-of-pearl Intarsio technique involves assembling finely cut rays of the material to create a stunning sunburst pattern, while the malachite marquetry captures a vintage elegance with coloured stones, each piece carefully selected for its vibrancy and expressiveness.
Diamonds play a prominent role in the Lucea collection, with twelve brilliant-cut diamonds serving as hour markers and an additional diamond adorning the V-shaped crown. Some models even feature a diamond-set bezel, adding to the luxurious appeal of the timepiece.
The collection offers two case diameters, with the 33mm version powered by a self-winding mechanical calibre, and the 28mm version equipped with a quartz movement. The Lucea collection is a fine example of what jewellery watches can aspire to, combining technical mastery with Bulgari’s heritage of bringing gold and precious stones together with precision and grace.
