The latest addition to the House at 30 Ave Montaigne.
Let’s keep it simple and sentimental.
The latest Dior bag by Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri which launches today is named after Monsieur Dior’s much-loved and faithful dog, Bobby. Just as the line-up of historical haute couture looks bearing the same namesake has become iconic, the new Dior Bobby bag shall step up to success.
In the words of the the founding couturier in his memoirs,
Each collection contained a suit earmarked for success called ‘Bobby’.
Monsieur Christian Dior
This Bobby has what it takes to be an iconic bag: design harmony, functionality, and quality.
Featuring a half-moon profile, the proportions of the feminine Dior Bobby are well thought-out. Available in small (18 x 14 x 5 cm), medium (22 x 17 x 6 cm) and large (27 x 19.5 x 8 cm) sizes, the bag can be carried in hand, on the shoulder, or cross-body, by adjusting the military inspired buckle on the detachable shoulder strap, which is finished in leather or embroidered Oblique.
There are two fabrications and four colours to choose from: refined box calfskin in black, white (latte) or camel (amber); or blue Dior Oblique canvas; all secured with antique gold-finish hardware. The bag flap features the distinctive ‘CD’ buckle affixed decoratively to top off the sensibly chosen user-friendly magnetic closure.
Watch how the bag comes together, in true artisanal savoir faire, from pattern cutting and sewing to the relief embossing of the ‘30 Montaigne‘ signature and finishing by hand, here.
