Pomellato reinvents an icon: the Nudo Collection gets a bold update
Pomellato’s Nudo collection has been a hallmark of Italian craftsmanship since its launch in 2001, celebrated for its signature “naked” stone setting and vibrant gemstones. Now, in 2025, the Milanese jeweller breathes new life into the line, introducing a series of innovative designs that cater to both long-time admirers and a new generation of jewellery lovers.
One of the standout additions is Nudo Mini, a scaled-down version of the classic design that retains its contemporary appeal while offering a more delicate alternative. The collection features pendants, bangles, and hoop earrings in rose gold, with a choice of sky blue or London blue topaz, accented by white diamonds. A new Milky Quartz variant introduces a soft, ethereal quality to Nudo’s colour palette.
Another striking evolution is Nudo Toi et Moi, which plays with asymmetry and contrast. The new rings and earrings feature London blue topaz and white topaz, set in rose and white gold with diamond pavé detailing. The result is a modern twist on a classic motif, echoing Pomellato’s reputation for unconventional yet elegant design.
At the pinnacle of the collection sits Nudo High Jewellery, a dazzling celebration of rare gemstones. This year, Pomellato incorporates rubellite, tanzanite, and aquamarine, enhancing their natural brilliance with an innovative mise à jour setting that maximises light reflection. The showpiece is a statement necklace featuring diamonds and sculptural goldwork, alongside bold cocktail rings and drop earrings.
Finally, a new sautoir necklace in rose and white gold with mother-of-pearl and diamonds offers a contemporary take on classic elegance. With its dynamic versatility, this piece cements Nudo’s status as an enduring icon — proof that even the most beloved designs can be reimagined for the modern age.
