Piaget Rose: In Bloom

by Pressroom

A new high jewellery capsule collection celebrating the timeless bloom of the Piaget Rose

For Swiss luxury house Piaget, the rose is more than a motif—it is a legacy. This enduring emblem, woven into the brand’s history, is as much a tribute to the natural world as it is to the creative vision of Yves Piaget, the man who propelled the company into global prominence in the 1980s.

Piaget’s connection to roses is both personal and symbolic. Raised in the Jura mountains where wildflowers carpet the landscape, Yves Piaget developed a lifelong fascination with nature, particularly roses. His passion culminated in 1982 when renowned French horticulturist Alain Meilland named an intensely pink, peony-like rose after him. To honour this tribute, Piaget crafted a gold rose trophy for winners of prestigious rose competitions, cementing the flower’s place in the Maison’s identity.

This deep-rooted association blossomed into high jewellery. In 2012, the Maison unveiled its first Rose-themed jewellery collection, followed by the Rose Passion High Jewellery line in 2014. Now, this legacy continues with a fresh capsule collection featuring diamond-set roses and vibrant emerald leaves. These delicate yet daring creations play with naturalism and abstraction, embracing asymmetry to reflect the ever-changing energy of nature. Diamonds glisten like dewdrops on sculpted petals, while marquise-cut stones echo the brand’s bold 1970s aesthetic.

Throughout history, jewellers have sought to capture the fleeting beauty of flowers in precious materials, and Piaget does so with poetic precision. Piaget’s mastery of gold and gemstones is a longstanding hallmark, dating back to its founding in 1874.

Today, the Piaget Rose continues to thrive, a symbol of beauty, passion, and the Maison’s enduring commitment to craftsmanship. With each new collection, the brand breathes fresh life into an icon—turning fleeting natural splendour into an everlasting masterpiece.
