The Italian luxury watchmaker redefines “sporty elegance” with a bold first.
The profile of the distinctive crown-protection device is one of Panerai’s defining features. Originally conceived as a way to ensure water resistance and prevent any unwanted contact with the crown, the iconic design now also defines the steel bracelet links of the new Submersible Blu Notte. This makes it the first Panerai Submersible 42mm watch with a metal bracelet. The tasteful combination of polished and brushed finishes speaks of elegance in any setting from casual to dressy.
There’s added grace of movement with its lightweight design. All at once lean and refined, the 42mm Submersible Blu Notte houses one of Panerai’s slimmest movements, the P.900 calibre, an automatic movement with a three-day power reserve. True to its name, the watch promises water-resistance up to 30 bar, which is about 300 metres deep.
Blu Notte is Italian for “blue night”; the richness of the blue sun-brushed dial radiates brilliance with every turn of the wrist, while white Super-LumiNova™ fills the hands, dots and indices to enhance legibility in all settings. The colour story extends to the steel bezel made from a deep blue ceramic that matches the dial flawlessly.
An additional black strap in Sportech™ with contrasting blue stitching and Velcro closure is included as a sportier alternative to the steel bracelet. Changing straps is a simple affair. A push of a button behind the lugs, aided by a tool provided in the watch storage box releases the bracelet effortlessly. With the patented Panerai interchangeable strap system, transforming the look of the Submersible Blu Notte is a breeze, making it a versatile addition to the wardrobe. The uni-directional counter-clockwise bezel builds on the monochromatic theme of the watch and is a resistant tool for calculating immersion time.
