Louis Vuitton’s second chapter of its high jewellery collection Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds delves into the transformative spirit of 19th-century France, where craft and science merged to propel cultural and industrial progress.
Designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof, the Maison’s Artistic Director of Jewellery and Watches, the collection pays homage to an era of discovery and mechanisation.
This latest collection delves deeper into the cultural and technological advancements that shaped modernity. Comprising 50 extraordinary designs over seven themes, it explores the transformative power of innovation through intricate jewellery, featuring rare gemstones and dynamic structures.
For the first time, the Maison introduces a men’s capsule, including a compass, pocket watch, and brooches, paying homage to the era’s pioneering spirit.
Among the standout pieces is Splendeur, a tribute to France’s imperial palaces, where the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram flower is reimagined in yellow gold, platinum, and diamond-studded patterns, punctuated by striking Mozambique rubies.
Phénoménal draws inspiration from fine porcelain, employing intricate diamond latticework and a striking 7.44-carat Colombian emerald.
The Élégance series introduces a delicate LV Monogram Star cut diamond headband, embodying the refined craftsmanship of the age.
Themes of motion and scientific advancement come to the fore in Gravité, a collection inspired by Foucault’s pendulum, where sapphires and diamonds evoke celestial precision.
Dynamisme takes cues from the industrial revolution’s mechanisation, its structured, interlocking designs mirroring the rhythm of travel and invention.
Vision captures the grandeur of railway expansion, culminating in a showstopping necklace centered around a 50.01-carat yellow sapphire.
Perhaps the most striking tribute is Victoire, a dazzling homage to the Eiffel Tower, crafted with more than 3,900 hours of labor. Featuring exceptional yellow and LV Monogram Star cut diamonds, its bold geometry reflects the tower’s architectural ambition.
