The Italian house is set to dazzle all with the splendour of their latest high jewellery and high-end watches collection.
Bvlgari’s Magnifica 2021 High Jewellery and High-End Watches Collection is in a word: Magnificent.
Unveiled at a two-day event staged in Milan, the Bvlgari Magnifica collection celebrates the strength and fortitude mustered by the Italian capital in the face of the Covid pandemic – and sends a message of hope and awe-inspiring beauty for the future.
The most precious high jewellery collection that the Roman luxury house has ever created, Bvlgari Magnifica is nothing short of spectacular; consisting of 350 masterpieces, with over 60 millionaire designs and 122 singular art works, painstakingly handcrafted over hundreds of thousands of hours, and worth hundreds of millions in euros.
True to the artistic DNA of Bvlgari, Magnifica showcases the most rare, enchanting, and extraordinary precious gems of the earth, each becoming one with every masterpiece that is brought to life through the creative vision and jewellery-making prowess of the Bvlgari artisans.
Among these luminescent gems are a seductive 93.83-carat cabochon-cut Colombian emerald; a majestic 131.21-carat spinel, the fourth largest in the world but the most beautiful in quality; and five exquisite cushion-cut Paraiba tourmalines, the rarest gems in the world.
Worth more than the sum of its carats, each piece of Magnifica is a work of pure genius – with some, like the Ruby Metamorphosis, requiring up to 2,500 hours of handwork.
Dubbed a convertible work of art, the Bvlgari Ruby Metamorphosis can be worn in as many ways as one can imagine – at least nine on our count. Carefully handcrafted over 2,500 hours and comprising several detachable pieces that transform its look, this high-jewellery piece features on a diamond choker an alluring 10.02-carat antique cushion-cut Mozambique ruby at its centre and a tassel of baguette diamonds and cabochon rubies.
A 62.00-carat Zambian emerald pear pulsates at the heart of the Emerald Elipse, a tubular-style necklace punctuated by seven emerald beads and columns of pave-set diamonds and buff-top emeralds. A sophisticated mechanism of jointed elements gives this masterpiece a dynamic lightness.
The Sapphire Petal is a true blue beauty that lies as gracefully on the collar as it sparkles with vitality. Its centrepiece, a 35.45-carat cornflower sapphire, sits on one of five diamond and sapphire-studded petals and catches light from every angle.
With 17th century Baroque painter Artemisia Gentileschi as its muse, the Baroque Spiral is a boldly extravagant three-dimensional composition of colour, with cabochon rubies, emeralds and sapphires set at varying levels and inclinations, their rich hues enhanced by the sparkly swirls of diamonds surrounding each gem.
Magnifica 2021 is a collection that crystallises all 137 years of Bvlgari’s experience and expertise in the high art of jewellery making. The Italian Maison has, again, outdone itself.
