With a quirky UFO shape and a dynamic pulsating lightshow, Louis Vuitton’s new portable speaker is bringing it all to the party.
The chicest flying saucer you ever saw, Louis Vuitton’s new portable light up speaker Horizon comes encased in embossed leather and fully monogrammed with the House’s emblematic signatures, with a cute little leather strap to hang it up like a mini mirrorball.
Its unique shape is actually based on the Toupie (‘Spinning Top’) handbag designed by Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s collections Nicolas Ghesquière, and also serves to project 360-degree sound when sitting in its dock.
Keeping in step with its foray into tech-infused luxury gear including flexi-screen handbags and a luggage tracker, Louis Vuitton is having a lot of fun with this new cyber chic audio gadget. Measuring just 18cm in diameter, this power-packed portable speaker features a 3-inch woofer for immersive sound on the go, and also a built-in lightshow with an LED top ring with three different animations in seven carefully selected, graduated colourways.
Being wireless, it works with Bluetooth and supports Apple AirPlayand QPlay, and provides up to 15 hours of playtime on a full charge. A dedicated Louis Vuitton Connect app controls all the speaker’s functions including colour combinations, animation sequences and mono or multiroom set-up to be operated via a smartphone.
