Valentino Garavani: Hey, Superstar

by Pressroom

The closing chapter of a trilogy dedicated to Maison Valentino’s signature bags spotlights the Viva Superstar

The Valentino Garavani Viva Superstar takes centrestage, closing out a campaign envisioned by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, highlighting the brand’s iconic bag silhouettes.

In a series of black-and-white shots photographed by Drew Vickers, an unnamed city forms the backdrop for a woman in motion, her identity also unknown. Like an elusive superstar that evades the lens, she wears the Viva Superstar bag as she moves through the city.

The bold, retro-inspired Valentino Garavani Viva Superstar family channels the artistic scene of the 1970s with its oversized VLogo. This season, the expanded colour palette features a new combination of red and deep black, a striking pairing that joins the existing optical butter white with black, and a rich black and brown mix.

Core silhouettes of the collection now come in new textures, including a precious skin variation, and new silhouettes including a compact crossbody camera case with chain and leather shoulder straps, and a belt bag with an adjustable chain that can be worn as a body or shoulder bag. The new shapes join the small duffle bag launched for the Pavillon des Folies Spring/Summer 2025, and the Viva Superstar Crochet designed for summer.

The lightweight and tactile Viva Superstar Crochet features three unstructured handmade totes in raffia crochet in large, medium and small sizes, with an embroidered VLogo.
