Spring arrives with joyful cherry blossoms in a re-edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of LV x Murakami’s creative collaboration
Colour, creativity and craftsmanship collide in the Louis Vuitton x Murakami re-edition. Chapter Two arrives at the cusp of Spring, with the Japanese master artist’s striking Cherry Blossom motif vividly rendered on more than 40 LV creations.
The central motif of Chapter Two celebrates Japan’s cherry blossom season – a time of renewal and optimism, not unlike the revival of this enduring creative bond shared by Murakami and the Maison.
In a masterful union of the Maison’s savoir-faire and cutting edge technology, Murakami’s cheerful pink flower heads and vibrant petals are applied to a full range of creations including the iconic Monogram brown canvas of City Bags: OnTheGo, Papillon, Boulogne, and Speedy 25.
The exuberant motif also adorns leather designs such as The Nano Bucket bag and The Zippy wallet, and a range of Art of Travel luggage including The Rolling Trunk, The Keepall 45, and hard-sided trunks – the Courrier Lozine 110 Fleurs features physical Cherry Blossom patches attached to its surface.
Fully “dressed” in pink to match the Cherry Blossom motif are the Marellini, Alma BB and one of three different Capucines City Bags.
The playful blooms also dress silk Carrés, a spectacular made-to-order Malle Wardrobe and footwear ranging from sneakers to platform sandals. The floral motif is also displayed across the Spell on You perfume bottle, along with its cylindrical packaging, and travel case, and on the glass dome of the Ultimate Flacon.
