Chanel’s 2024/25 Métiers d’art collection is a dialogue between two continents and two eras
From Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment at 31 rue Cambon to West Lake in Hangzhou, the Chanel 2024/25 Métiers d’art campaign unfolds. Against the misty landscape, the collection’s silhouettes are poetic, as worn by brand ambassadors Tilda Swinton and Liu Wen, and model Lulu Tenney, and lensed by Mikael Jansson.
The form of pleats, the intricacies of embroidery, and the constellations of jewellery in the collection showcase the virtuosity of the Maisons d’art – Lesage, Atelier Montex, Lemarié, Lognon, Massaro, Goossens, Maison Michel, Paloma.

An enigmatic charm surrounds the lineup. A shade of deep, almost liquid black comes in the form of a long leather coat accessorised with a camellia brooch by Lemarié. The nighttime theme is demonstrated by Liu Wen in a pleated dress made from black satin charmeuse inlaid with floral embroidery, with an undulating ruffled collar by Lognon.

A highlight in the eveningwear: a sheer belted satin blouse embellished with velvet lace flowers over a vest top embroidered by Lesage. To top it off, the necklaces by the goldsmith Goossens feature a blend of grey, midnight blue and aged gold, evoking a starlit sky.

Texture evokes interest as the morning mist appears to settle on a fully pleated silk satin ivory blouson jacket paired with matching trousers, the pleats by Lognon composing a diaphanous silhouette. A black embossed canvas pea coat with an embroidered collar by Montex contrasts black patent leather thigh boots with quilted wedge heels.

The traveller theme is manifested in black and white two-tone knit outfits, motifs inspired by the Coromandel screens on the Chanel two-tone cardigan, and across the bags – quilted leather travel bags, a patent vanity case and the new 25 bag in sparkling black tweed.
