Savoir faire of an eternal icon.
A virtuoso symbol of Parisian elegance, the Dior Bar Jacket draws distinction from its cinched waist, soft shoulders, basques accentuating the shape of the hips, and open neckline. A silhouette that exalts feminine curves with voluptuousness, it is a legacy milestone in the New Look revolution advocated by Christian Dior in 1947.
This unique icon of emblematic curves has since been reinvented by the House’s various Artistic Directors over the years, proposed in different fabrications and effects. It comes down to the quintessence of tailoring, as the Bar Jacket, is to look as if it has been molded on a woman’s body. We take a closer look at the the technical prowess of the House’s ateliers, as they transform the design visions to reality.
