The LV Archlight 2.0 continues to break the boundaries of how we define footwear.
From runways to sidewalks, the LV Archlight has been going places since its revolutionary debut in 2018. An avant-garde relook at the definition of sportswear design, nothing else comes quite close to its futuristic silhouette with the uniquely curved rubber sole and oversized tongue.
Five years later, the LV Archlight is an icon – constantly morphing into different iterations but remaining unbridled by trends. Innovation in style never stops at the house of Louis Vuitton though. After multiple transformations, the emblematic sneaker is ready to start a new revolution in the form of the LV Archlight 2.0. Adorned in materials like raffia, guipure lace, and a new experimental rubber platform outsole, the latest iterations of the Archlight are inspired by moccasins, high boots, and desert boots. The reimagined designs draw inspiration from the Maison’s archives of past collection codes, uniting various narratives, moments and techniques of the brand.
To celebrate this milestone, Louis Vuitton has invited three international, independent, contemporary talents to portray the essence of its new LV Archlight collection in a daring digital campaign.
American actor Chloë Grace Moretz dons the Archlight 2.0 in a “cottage core” aesthetic; crocheted raffia in an earth-tone colour palette recodes the hiking dress code to signal long, romantic walks in the countryside.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is the desert boot-inspired high-top, along with the neo-mocassin form of the Archlight worn by American actor and musician Jaden Smith. The rebellious, gothic vibes are strong with this iteration and invites you to rethink the Archlight and how far it can stretch the imagination of its core codes.
Finally, Chinese footballer Sam Li fully exhibits the mix-and-match trend of Gen Z with a psychedelic version of the Archlight 2.0 where pop colours meet technical materials to exude glam.
