Delight in the latest Lady D-Joy in a handy small size for your everyday.
Structured yet feminine, the signature codes of Dior’s iconic Lady Dior bag took on a modern east-west silhouette last year in the form of the modern Lady D-Joy. First launched back in Dior Cruise 2022 collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s horizontal version of this House icon continues to be symbolically linked to the story of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, who was presented with an unlaunched Lady Dior bag during a visit to Paris. It was 1995, at the opening of the Paul Cézanne retrospective at the Grand Palais, that the now iconic bag began its journey to become a legendary design in Dior’s stable of bags. The classy and versatile accessory became one of Lady Diana’s must-haves, spotted with many of her outfits.
This year, the charming architectural lines of the Lady D-Joy are reinvented into small and micro sizes that come with two straps fusing leather and chain in shades of red scarlet, royal blue, peony pink, rose and rust for the Dior cruise 2023 collection. Crafted in lambskin with Dior’s signature Cannage stitching and pale gold-finish metal ‘D.I.O.R.’ charms, the new small Lady D-Joy bag can be carried by hand, worn on the shoulder or across the body by adjusting its removable chain shoulder strap.
Included in the line-up is an exclusive variation of the Lady D-Joy in velvet, adorned with the Dior Jardin Botanique motif stands out among the latest renditions. Delicate flowers are intricately embroidered in gold thread, exuding a timeless charm with its textured embellishments and attention to detail.
