Vacheron Constantin: Openworked Wonder

by Pressroom

The latest addition to the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection is a lesson in serious watchmaking.

Following on the enormous success of the 222 designed by Jorg Hysek in 1977, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection is known for being the essential luxury sports timepiece range.

Designed in a spirit of casual elegance and comfort enhanced by their interchangeable bracelet system, Overseas timepieces are the perfect versatile daily companions.

This year, the maison is introducing a cracking new addition that checks the boxes on a whole lot of “firsts” for the iconic collection – first tourbillon skeleton watch, first all-titanium model, and redesigned with a new balance-spring featuring a Breguet overcoil.

Introducing the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon Squelette: featuring the Manufacture Calibre 2160, which has been redesigned for the occasion in a contemporary, entirely openworked spirit, resulting in a whopping 20 percent reduction in the movement’s weight.

Particular care has been devoted to the finishing of the case and bracelet case. Each component is reworked and finished by hand, perfectly illustrating the maison’s “Anatomy of Beauty” theme for 2022, which highlights all the richness and subtlety of the details featured in a Vacheron Constantin timepiece. This timepiece is available in 18K 5N pink gold and Grade 5 titanium.
