Harry Winston: Love is… a language

by Pressroom

Speak the language of love with the King of Diamonds as the Spring 2021 Bridal Season descends.

The House of Harry Winston weaves the narrative of love into its year-round campaigns in 2021. #LoveIsHarryWinston explores what love – a deeply personal emotion – means to each of us. As the Spring bridal season approaches, this conversation on love continues with the spotlight on two new additions to The One Cushion Micropave collection.

For one of love’s most meaningful moments, an icon of the House, The One engagement ring has been refreshed with a round brilliant centre stone ranging from 1.00-124 carats, embraced by two rows of micropave diamonds.

Each diamond must be handled the way you handle a person.

From the rigorous gem selection process, where only rare diamonds of top colour and clarity make the cut, to using a minimal amount of metal to highlight the maximum level of brilliance for each gemstone, The One Double Halo Micropave Diamond Engagement Ring is a showcase of the finest, and an exquisite expression of love and commitment.

The same precision and eye for detail are applied to the new Cushion-cut Micropave Pendant, a dazzling addition that graces the neckline, reflecting the radiance that beams from within when one is in love.

Any talk of diamond cuts in the House of Harry Winston is never complete without the mention of Mr Winston’s favourite emerald cut.  For the New York jeweller, who founded his eponymous jewellery emporium in 1932 and acquired important estate jewellery which he would re-cut and re-set, the emerald cut was deemed the most flattering for precious stones, and would become intimately associated with the House. This legacy inspired the Emerald Collection timepieces which feature a distinctive octagonal case shape and unique dial, making them contemporary classics upon debut.

This year, rekindling and expanding on the love for the elegant Emerald collection, this stylish collection welcomes a larger 33mm octagonal case with bevelled edges, in 18K white and rose gold and paired with alligator leather straps – blue for the white gold and brown for the rose gold –secured by a gold ardillon buckle engraved with “Harry Winston”.

Available with either an automatic or quartz movement, the bold timepiece harks back to its jewelled inspiration with the sloping sides on the dial adding depth and volume like a faceted gemstone. The classic gold Harry Winston logo at 12 o’clock, balanced by a bevelled date window at 6 o’clock, reiterates the emerald motif.

Fitted with a high-end Swiss mechanical automatic movement with a generous power reserve of 72 hours, the Emerald Automatic timepieces offer the function of hours, minutes, seconds and date, presented in two colorways; rose gold with a silver opaline with sunray satin-brushed finish and white gold with a gradient blue hue that darkens toward the edges. There is a chapter ring for enhanced precision, and hour markers are crafted in either rose or white gold, faceted and applied to the dial. The underside of the case is just as impressive with a view of the 18K white gold skeletonized rotor and luxury finishes, including Côtes de Genève, rhodium plating and circular graining on the movement which features a flat silicon balance spring to ensure superlative performance over the years.

The quartz version of the Emerald timepiece comes with hours, minutes and date functions. Crafted in 18K rose or white gold, two of the four models are set with 94 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case and lugs, with a slight variation on the blue dial of the white gold models, which features a sunray with satin-brushed finish.
