Wear your art.
Valentino Bluegrace embodies the art of wearing of one of the most recognizable motifs in the world of pottery – the Delft Blue.
Traditionally painted on Dutch pottery since the 1600s, the iconic blue-on-white motifs come alive on softer textures like tulle, crepe de chine and brocade this time round, with Pierpaolo Piccioli’s romantic vision.
Piccioli recasts the Bluegrace from the rich archives of Maison Valentino – specifically the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 68-69 collection and more recently, the Fall/Winter 13-14 collection – but with a fresh narrative of his own. The past and the present are interwoven into a luxuriously stunning collection that takes you from day to night.
The splendid yet extremely wearable silhouettes break the rigidity associated with couture, while retaining its mastery and fine workmanship. The values of couture are thus made relevant to the everyday.
