The year was 1922 when Ernest Beaux created the N°22, the second fragrance of the French Maison. A variation of the iconic N°5, the N°22 grew its very own set of followers with its feminine notes that come off smooth, tender and powdery. A century later, we welcome the definition of a new femininity with the luxury maison’s latest creation – the Chanel 22 bag.
Born from the imagination of Virginie Viard, the new silhouette was first seen at the Spring-Summer 2022 Ready-to-Wear show. The house codes are evident in the Chanel 22’s quilted leather paired with a metal chain interlaced with leather, and finally, the “CHANEL” signature presented in gold or lacquered metal letters and a “CHANEL Paris” medallion with an openwork double C.
Made from an extremely supple yet resistant leather, the Chanel 22 bag is a lightweight, spacious tote that will free your hands and mind – you won’t have to decide what to bring in your bag cos there’s room for more. An inner zipped pocket and a removable pouch held in place by a snap hook helps with organisation while the magnetic button and purse-like drawstrings secure your belongings without compromising on style. Choose from 3 sizes (small, medium and large) and a backpack version. Just in time for the summer days, it is available in navy blue, purple, and two shades of pink, white and black. Check it out at your nearest Chanel boutique come March.
